Shimmering Wolf

Shimmering Wolf has been drumming and dancing around fires for 2 decades. He has been a "personal growth junkie" since childhood. As a teenager, he led Parent/Teen Encounter communication workshops with his family, taking the experience for several years to families from houston to Los Angeles.

In the 80s, he studied the Course in Miracles and participated in the Beyond War movement. He became inspired to study Native American wisdom after reading Carlos Castenada's books. In 1989, he began studying Earth Wisdom Teachings (Native-American based teachings) with the Ehama Institute. He participated in a "medicine community of practice" for over 7 years in the 1990s and formed his own small ceremonial community in Santa Cruz in 1997-98. In the mid-90s he also completed the Landmark Curriculum for Living.

He has facilitated the sweat lodge ceremonies at the first 5 years of the Firedance Festival from 1999-2004 and participated on staff for most of those years.

Shimmering Wolf is owner of Shimmering Wolf Studios, a full service
design and marketing studio, offering identity design, brochure and
literature development, web site services, CD/DVD artwork, photography,
film and multimedia design and development and creative consultation.
